Melbourne GPO
by Williams Boag Pty Ltd Architects

Melbourne G.P.O Redevelopment. The Melbourne GPO project comprises the conversion of a Heritage-listed Melbourne architectural icon into a new retail and commercial facility. Involving the full adaptation and integration of the main heritage registered building and the inclusion of carefully crafted additional built elements, the project revitalises

significant public spaces, walks and colonnades in the heart of Melbourne City. The introduction of a cutting edge contemporary retail centre opens up much of the previously inaccessible areas of building to the public, contributing to the retail renaissance of central Melbourne while ensuring the future of one of Australia’s most prominent buildings.
