Forrest Residences
by Colin Stewart Architects

IN THE ARCHITECTS WORDS

The project is a new house on the same block as a Malcolm Moir designed house, along with a ‘bookend' extension to the existing residence at the far side of the street frontage. The independent residence is a contemporary interpretation of the Moir house. The new work is in white render at either end of the street facade to hihglight and compliment the honey brick and parapet roofs of the

existing house. Finishes are of a high quality with veneer panelled walls and full height glazing to private outdoor spaces. Movement through the house is filtered in terms of privacy levels, with an office able to be closed off from the house through a large pivot door/wall or opened out as a shared living space. One bedroom space is downstairs, with further sleeping and bathrooms upstairs.
